Research

A listing of research we do here around the farm!

Gardening Records

All of our gardening records from 2018 through current day are published on this website. Powered by volto-farmOS, this allows you to see:

  • Event logs like seeding, transplanting, and harvest.
  • Records filtered by location, date range, or plant type.

Habitat Assessment and Management

Assessment

We regularly monitor wildlife patterns to get a better understanding of their habitat needs. Assessment methods include:

  • Trail cameras
  • Bird/bees watching
  • Looking for animal tracks, scrapes, and signs
  • Hunting

Management

Our assessment practices then spur action initiatives such as:

  • Planting wildlife friendly forage
  • Clearing pathways in the woods
  • Building brushpiles
